Assembly Bill (AB) 2286 requires all regulated business to electronically report and submit required Unified Program information. This includes facility data regarding hazardous material regulatory activities, chemical inventories, underground and aboveground storage tanks, and hazardous waste generation. This is the law.

Hazardous Materials Management

Often business are faced with the burden of dealing with the disposal of hazardous wastes and the management of such wastes on site. The mismanagement of hazardous materials can lead to tremendous liabilities for business as well as fines and other potential problems even to the extent of being shut down.

HEC can assist with the removal of hazardous wastes from businesses or residences. Even if the material is unknown, HEC will properly identify the material through field chemistry to properly identify and classify wastes for proper disposal.

From the first call, HEC can assist is obtaining an EPA ID number, identification and profiling of wastes to cost effective permitted facilities, packaging of wastes according to Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, and transportation of wastes to off- site disposal facility. HEC will prepare all the paperwork necessary according to Local, State and Federal regulatory requirements.

The California Specialized Training Institute (CSTI) and the California Emergency Management Agency (CalEMA) serve as a critical component in providing emergency training programs to professionals who strive to protect and rescue citizens in harm. Training certificationsare granted under California Government Code Section 8574.19-23 and California Code of Regulations Title 19, Sections 2510-2560.

HEC course training will be taught by a CSTI certified outreach instructor who has successfully completed the CSTI course and a CSTI Instructor Certification Course.
